Flame Cantina - Ankeny

The food was amazing! We tried the mango shrimp tacos and the Lola burrito, and everything was served hot and fresh. The service was top-notch. However, the margaritas were just average—nothing to write home about. If you have dietary restrictions, there are plenty of gluten-free options available.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and decided to try the Lola burrito, which was absolutely delicious. The addition of pineapple provided just the right amount of sweetness to complement the mild spice. The portion size was generous and perfect for sharing. My waitress was incredibly attentive and had a wonderful attitude, always greeting me with a smile.

We dined at this restaurant last night with the family, all of whom can be quite picky eaters. The kids' meals were seasoned perfectly, and they both ended up finishing almost everything! My wife and I ordered the trio appetizer and two different burritos, and they were so delicious that we couldn’t help but devour our food. During the drive home, we couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the meal was. I also want to highlight the staff, who were attentive to our needs, interacted wonderfully with the kids, and were incredibly friendly. They even went above and beyond by giving us extra chips to take home from our appetizer! This was our first visit, and we will definitely be coming back. I’ve heard they have a Taco Tuesday deal and a special for football on Thursdays!

Love the food! Please do not go there. I want it all to myself. Great service too

It's OK at best. Cheese sauce tasted like it came out of a can. Meat tastes pre-made and reheated. They're hot salsa had a very strange flavor profile.
