Contribuiți la feedbackMy wife and I wanted to let our friend who was leaving the next day for the Philippines to have a taste of the Philippine food before he arrived. It was in my humble opinion quite possibly the worst service and Philippine food I’ve had in my life. The Lechon Kawali tasted old or possibly rancid, the Bistek Tagalog was lacking in flavor because the meat had not been marinated and the Pancit Bihon was too salty. After we were served our food if we needed anything, we had to get out our seats and ask the man in the kitchen. We were not asked how our experience was. I am telling all. The original owners made great food, these new owners should try another line of business.
Had dinner at Kubo 2 nights ago. Seemed to be only 2 staff people working there a young man who waited on our table, a lady who appeared to be doing the cooking. There were 2 other tables of patrons there, who all left before we got our food. Took forever for our orders to be taken for our food to arrive. Then while we were eating, we killed 3 bugs saw a 4th all ON OUR TABLE. GROSS. Then it took forever to get our bill to check out. The food tasted good up until we saw all the bugs!!! Hope the Health Inspector evaluates this place ASAP!!!
Kids and I were looking for some tasty pork adobo and was recommended to try this place. It was a little difficult to order as I had trouble understanding the waitress but we eventually got through the ordering process but what i did not know was the serving sizes for the dishes I ordered. They were larger dishes than expected which led us to take home a lot of leftovers and a hefty bill to go with it. The food was terrific but you need not order more than 2 selections if you have 4 in your party. The amounts are very sizable and the food is very tasty. I will probably visit again when I have a need to satisfy my crave.
We haven't had Filipino food this good from a restaurant here in the United States. Customer service- Service with a smile! Restaurant interior/exterior- Clean Food items- Their lechon kawali was VERY crispy although a bit under-seasoned. Their steamed rice is good, not soggy, not dry. Their tocilog was THE BOMB. The sinangag was perfectly seasoned and their tocino without too much fat. Lastly, their turon is scrumptious! They have huge/family-sized servings at a reasonable price. We ordered two lechon kawali for three adults and we only ate half. We were very full with one full order of lechon kawali. We will definitely return when we have the opportunity to visit Anchorage, Alaska again.
Since I saw this in a Yelp search for filipino restaurants last summer I have been 4 times. I live 225 miles away and don't eat out often, so that's testimony to how much I like the food. There's a home-cooked, family run feel to the place. It's delicious. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
