Benihana - Anaheim

I had a reservation for 7:15 but when I arrived at 7:10, I was informed that the restaurant was running 30-45 minutes behind schedule. We were finally seated at 7:45, but our food and drink orders weren't taken until 8:15. The chef didn't come to our table until 8:45, and by the time the final course was served it was already 10 PM. We could hear staff complaining about guests being frustrated with the long wait times. Throughout the 3-hour experience, neither the manager nor any staff member apologized or tried to make our experience better.

The customer service at this restaurant is awful, but unfortunately, the establishment doesn't seem to care because they are always busy due to their brand name. If they made an effort to treat customers with politeness and attentiveness, I would definitely be a more frequent visitor.

By sheer luck we had a private table away from main dining room which kicked off the night to a great start. Nick our chef and our server made the evening and experience even more enjoyable. And everything was delicious!

Server and cook both asked about allergies, loved that. Long wait from appetizers to the actual meal. Show was not as engaging as other times .. you do feel pressure to leave table super fast.

We paid $91 in service fees and I did not even get to enjoy my full meal of what I ordered because the server forgot our steam rice. We did not receive our rice till the end when we were about to leave. The chief took too long to cook our food and it wasn't till the end he asked if our order was complete. I was not satisfied with the service at all and I upset that I was obligated to pay that much when my service was not that good. Service took for ever to take our order and chief took to long to come cook the food. It was a bad experience.
