Cushman Market Cafe - Amherst

Down-home Cafe, mostly locals and regulars. Just what it should be.

It’s taken me this long to leave a review to Cushman’s because I love this spot so much that I could gush about it for ages. Suffice to say that the food is delicious and wonderfully affordable (compared to Boston area prices) and the cafe is super cute, and I love escaping campus to spend time here.

In this little old funky building you can have a variety of hanging out and dining experiences. With the market in the front, the cafe in the back and the patio on the side there are plenty of spaces to shop or refresh. Its funkyness is part of the charm. The menu includes many coffee specialty drinks and teas, plus what ever you want to get from the market fridges. They have a nice big breakfast menu including vegan options. There are a couple bakery cases. There are sandwiches for lunch, and a few pre made sandwiches can be found in the market fridges. I usually have breakfast and a nice journaling session in the morning with my large coffee. My favorite is the Daily, which is simply eggs and toast. IIt's fast funky casual a step up from the ordinary.

The food was delightful, and the atmosphere is charming. There's also a lovely outdoor patio!

I absolutely adore this place, both the market and the café. The food is fantastic, offering an impressive variety for those with dietary restrictions. The staff is friendly and professional. I understand why some people mention the long wait times, but I believe it's definitely worth the wait.
