Judie's - Amherst

I'm not sure why this place only has 3.5 stars so I'm giving it five. I always have wonderful experiences there, and the popovers are always a delight. The menu has myriad and unique options for vegetarians, something that can be tough to find even in this area. Dessert is always delectable, too, if you save the room!

Judies has just continued to fall. It's overpriced with food that is not great. I'm done with a place I've been going to since the day it opened. But then Judy was the cook. She doesn't appear to be anywhere on the horizon, and the food is just not good.

The food is overpriced. and. of mediocre quality nothing mother could not whip up in ten minutes . The service. was poor. The waitress was very grumpy and upset as if she was just cursed out by her boyfriend the cook in the kitchen. Go have a barbecue at Graff park outside on Mill Lane in south Amherst. Much nicer atmosphere. and a better class of people .

I’ve been going to Judie’s since I was a student at UMASS back in the 80’s. Now my past college roommate and I make a pilgrimage back to have the amazing food (including delectable popovers) and **** Mary’s at least once a year. The food and ambiance has remained stellar over all these years. Rare to find that! I can’t recommend Judie’s enough! Favorites are the seafood bisque and salad with poppy dressing, but EVERYTHING on the extensive menu is delicious!
