The food was mediocre for a mexican restaurant. It is a place for something quick to get food. The people that work here are nice and pleasant which made the experience better overall.

In summary, I had an extremely negative experience at this restaurant. The service was the worst I've ever encountered, and while the food was mediocre, the rude and avoidant behavior of our server overshadowed everything. Despite having enjoyed prior visits with my family, this experience was so bad that I will never return to this restaurant.

As a Texan missing good Tex-Mex, I was pleasantly surprised when some friends brought me to this place. It has quickly become my favorite Mexican restaurant in Ames. The chips and salsa are great, the margaritas are affordable, the food is delicious, the service is fast, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Margarita enjoyed the unique twist of orange juice at this restaurant, which tasted great. She also had nachos and seafood quesadillas, which were flavorful and delicious, although the ground beef could have been drained better. Overall, she found this place to be much better than El Azteca.
