Il Gelso - ALTOPASCIO

Authentic Italian food. Well off the beaten track of most tourists. However, if you do find yourself in the area of a lunch time pay a visit for the real deal.

Found restaurant on the road for a lunch break with colleague. Well-kept environment, obviously outdoor seats given the period. Attentive staff. Quick service. Took Mixed Fried Fish (me) and Tagliata for my colleague. No pizza at noon in this period. Dry frying, excellent cooking, but limited variety of fish. Light batter with a little oil aftertaste. Vegetables in the right amount, well fried in batter. Abundant. The Tagliata is also good: soft, perfectly cooked, with a side dish of baked potatoes. Not abundant. Excellent quality-price relation. Reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: use of elegant but delicate paper tablecloth (it looks already used even when it shouldn't be). Then the crushed at noon is missing. Overall must try!

Restaurant well organized from the point of view of the spaces, there are isolated areas so as to allow privacy and ovate atmospheres, in front of many guests present. friendly welcome .the dishes presented in the menu are part of a cuisine of excellence, presented in an unexceptionable, gothic and very particular way. the selection of wines can satisfy all palates. The friendliness of the service and its impeccability certainly represent another flagship. Definitely to recommend Lombardy patrizia
