Kokum & Spice - Alībāg

Kokum & Spice is a Indian restaurant (with a bend towards maharastra, goan and mangalorian dishes) located in the Radisson. There are limited options available for vegeterians...however, whatever we tried tasted good compensating for the limited choice.

Went here with my family.. The food was great .. The service though was a little slow .. But they prepare everything fresh so I guess that's expected.. Overall a nice experience

This restaurant has thali and al carte Focused mainly on sea food.Limited menu for vegetarians Price is reasonable.

Due to heavy rainfall and terrible roads we checked in quite late at Radisson blu and decided to dine in the in house restaurant. The colorful bullock cart outside kokum and spice drew our toddler who dragged us along. It was late on a weekday and the place was deserted accept for us so we were skeptical but the food absolutely floored us.We were graciously welcomed by the attendant and seated comfortably on rustic wooden table and carved high chairs. The shamianas ambient lighting and the brass encrusted goblets and plates gave royal maratha feel. We opted for the thali trusting the chef to please our taste buds and it was surreal. I have been to n number of malvani joints and i am not exaggerating when i say that it was undoubtedly the best malvani food I have had till date.Right from the silky sol kadhi to the tangy panaah that kick started our appetite to the spicy assortment of chutneys served with papad. The food ticked all the right boxes. The bombil bhaji were perfect with not a single bone to ruin the crisp and juicy texture. The other starters were equally good. The main courses gravy was so good we lopped it off from the bowl with spoons.We signed off with a magai pan and vowed to definately return again if we happened to visit Alibaug again.If you are into malvani food and happen to visit alibaug dont dare miss a treat at kokum and spice.

Nice place to have authentic coastal cuisine complimented by great service. Mounika at the restaurant is super attentive with warm smile attending all the requests. Will dine in there when ever I get an opportunity to visit Alibaug again.
