Old House Cosmopolitan Grill

The German food at this restaurant in the northern Virginia/DC area is incredibly delicious. The outdoor seating upstairs offers fabulous views of Old Town. There is a wide variety of menu options to choose from to meet all your dining preferences.

The service at this restaurant is excellent and the food is great. I really enjoy coming here! We had delicious German cuisine and the portion sizes were generous. I tried the Wiener schnitzel and it was cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Excellent service. The older gentleman who served us was very attentive without being too present. I went to celebrate the birthdays of my family members and it was great. I appreciated having the option to eat inside or outside. The appetizer plate was delicious. I think it was two meats and a pretzel platter. I believe I had the special for the day which was pig knuckle wrapped in pig snout. It was quite delicious; it was tender, like brisket. I had a Pauliner Hefe-Weizen which tasted good and I don't usually like beers. My wife said we had that same beer before at Oktoberfest in Munich. For dessert, I had creme-pita but our server said Germans call it creme-schnitter. I think it's my new favorite dessert. Creamy, smooth, not overly sweet, plus I love anything with powdered sugar.

Since moving to the area I am always on the lookout for great food. When looking for some German cuisine I found Old House. I was recommended the chicken cordon blue and it didn't it fail to delight. The amount of cheese complimented the ham and chicken and takes you to food heaven. I personally eat it with fries but there are other potato options available to meet your taste. The service has also been very good the times I've been there with the staff being very attentive. I would recommend the Old House to anyone craving tasty German food.

I highly recommend this restaurant for its authentic food and excellent service. The schnitzel is outstanding and the chivapy is just as good.
