Contribuiți la feedbackI have been a frequent customer of Kumo for the past 12 years. During the Pandemic they only did carry out and delivery. This month I have visited them four times. Here are my observations: Service: AWESOME!!! They have really gone from outstanding to AWESOME! Food: OUTSTANDING! I don't work close to Kumo anymore, so I tried multiple sushi places and they all suck. Kumo has the best Sushi in Northern Virginia. I have become an addict to the their lunch menu. Check it out on their site, better yet, go there for lunch. You can get 3 high quality Sushi Rolls, a Miso soup or a Salad for $18.00. Ambiance: Nice super clean environment. Great place for Lunch or to take a date in the evening. I strongly recommend this great hidden gem.
What looks like your typical Americanized Japanese restaurant (and is inside of a strip mall) is actually a fantastic spot with a huge selection of options Tons of both classic and unique sushi roles, other Japanese, dishes, and a few dishes from some other Asian cuisines as well The service here is very fast, and the servers are very attentive I got a miso soup and a specialty sushi roll and it was all very delicious
Excellent service from Nicole (from Venezuela)! The whole team was friendly and the service was very attentive. They were packed on a Friday night but we didn't wait long to be seated. Would most definitely recommend it.
I've ordered in the past and it has been really good but today's order was garbage. This wasn't even sushi just some tuna paste wrapped in rice, every roll was the same. Seriously, $20 a roll, never again, I can't believe I recommended this place to my friends.
BLUF: the food is tasty, but it doesn't quite match it's menu description Four of us went on a Friday night. The wait staff was very friendly, but it seemed like they just couldn't wait to take a plate off your table. If you're not quite done with something you kind of have to lean over it to make sure they don't snap it up on the way by. I would recommend getting a reservation if you go on a weekend. The place was quite full and I was glad I made a reservation ahead of time. We didn't have any drinks or anything so here's a rundown of the food: Thai Beef Basil: it was actually relatively Bland, especially when you consider it had one of those little peppers next to it on the menu to indicate it was spicy. I ended up having to add a little wasabi from my Sushi to it to spice it up. The beef was well cooked and the gravy was very good. Teriyaki Vegetable: quite good, with pretty good fresh veggies thrown in Octopus sushi: very good. Wasn't rubbery like I often find, but it was a bit of a thin slice considering you're paying about 3.50 a piece for it Veggie gyoza: very good, with a nice crisp sear on it and veggies inside tasted fresh Herndon Roll: very good, with a nice balance of rice and fish Spicy Salmon and Yellowtail Roll: the role itself was pretty good, but again didn't live up to the spicy label put on it on the menu. If I were in the area I would go back, but I would definitely stick to the sushi.
