El Pollo Ranchero - Alexandria

We came here because we were looking for a quick dinner and wanted to support a minority-own def business. I had the Tipico 3 (pupusa, steak, rice, beans, and salad) plus as Chile Rellno. Let me begin with saying that I'm always grateful for complimentary chips and salsa. The chips at El Pollo Ranchero taste store bought and are not special (e.g. thin, warm, dusted with chili lime), but the salsa tasted fine. The Chile Relleno was okay (see photo). Been going to this place for years, ever since I came to the US, I've always received good service and the food is always delicious. Went with my dad and husband recently and my husband ordered a steak fajita and he received something that looked more like bistec with tomatoes sauce on top, back in the day that's not how it was. I guess they changed it, other then that everything is always great????????

I love the food from here. But I have one problem I ask for a fajita and this is what I get. Not sure what it was. Then everything else is good fast service and everything else.

I've been going here for over 12 years and enjoy the people, the food and the owner, Alfredo is a really hard working and wonderful person.
