Frederick's Cafe - Albany

We visited Friedericks based on a review here, but we found it on average. They were sold from one of the 2 vegan options they had. We ordered the vegan flatbread with hummus and roasted veg (the seemingly like a roasted sandwich) and brought them to veganize the cousin salad. We found both dishes without taste. We also had to pay the same price for the Couscous salad, although we removed meat and cheese. Better go to the alkaline café. Updated by previous review on 2019-01-09

Good coffee option. Have the loaded pommes a few times, but they are no longer on the menu. Now it is an avo and veg in toast type of thing at breakfast. Lunch menu has a vegan option.

Fredericks was on Thursday evening for our employees Christmas party and was absolutely incredible. we had about 40 people and eating was excellent, like the service and the presentation. I can't recommend them very much if they are looking for high quality catering. it was so wonderful, delicious gluten-free and vegetarian options included. thanks sam and personal for such a fabulous service!

Very pleasant staff and service. The breakfasts were quite well made. Gypsy Eggs (a spin on Shakshuka) has a sweeter gravy with a little bit of vinegar, my wife had the vegetarian, it would probably be better with the chorizo. I had the eggs benedict with bacon which was cooked well, served on English muffin. The Hollandaise sauce has a bit of sweetness to it which is pleasant. Unfortunately all the tables were wiped with a cloth which had a strong egg smell which was a bit nauseating. My wife had a decaf mocha which had a level of chocolate which was not overpowering the coffee however the milk temperature was a bit too high to drink. The macchiato I ordered was a bit under-extracted. It might be that the barista was still dialling in the beans. I think both could be improved with an upgraded grinder and dialling in espresso just before the morning crowd. Otherwise quite a pleasant cafe and some pleasant music.

Fredericks went beyond and beyond us! They made a dish that was no longer on their menu for my husband birthday and it was absolutely delicious! can not recommend enough
