Cascade Grill - Albany

The food at this restaurant is excellent, deserving of 5 stars. The waiter provided excellent service. However, the ambience only merits 3 stars. The wait time was unacceptable, with a full lobby of customers waiting. Some customers left without being seated due to the long wait. The staff seemed disorganized, with open tabs left unattended and workers standing around. Despite these issues, the food is worth trying again. Maybe the experience was just a one-off, as the quality of the food was good.

The dining experience was mediocre. The drinks were good, but the food was lacking. We ordered separate entrées, which initially looked appetizing but were served in overly large portions. The mushroom Swiss burger was undercooked and the homemade mac and cheese sauce was more like soup. My dining companion didn't complain, but I lost my appetite after a few bites of my burger. We left a generous tip and must admit that they do have good clam chowder and tasty bread. We probably won't be returning, but the service was still quite good. The rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating, so that's a plus.

There are many hotels nearby. The service was excellent and the food was fresh, but nothing exceptional. It felt somewhat lacking, like a disappointing experience at Applebee's.

Later come to the city, tired hunger. slender grilled garnel and had to simply order. great food! next night back and ordered the same! next to the albany expo and hotels.

I stopped by for dinner with friends recently and the food far exceeded my expectations. My small, 6 oz., steak was far better than acceptable, it was excellent and only $20. And the inexpensive house Merlot was also surprisingly good. I will definitely go there again when I am the area. Highly recommend
