There is a sign for a natural park, but is it inside the park? As soon as you enter, there are food samples lined up. You decide on your menu, pay at the cashier, and then take your seat. There are so many options that it can be overwhelming. It's not suitable for those who can't make decisions quickly. There are also some bold menu choices ^ ^; I ordered the Hassen Ravine Ramen. They had soy sauce, miso, and salt options, but when I asked which was popular, they recommended miso. You can get a large serving for an extra 120 yen. The interior of the restaurant retains a Showa-era scent and has a calm atmosphere. The retro beams and pillars create a nice vibe. There are quite a few seats. The tatami seating by the window seems to offer a good view as it is along the river. The restaurant is fairly busy, but the service time is normal. The customer service is not bad. The toppings include vegetables, small cut pieces of meat, wakame seaweed, and mountain vegetables. It feels a bit scattered or unfocused, but the flavors blend well. The boiled egg was supposed to be a half, but it was sliced haha. The soup is not too thick or too thin. The umami from the sautéed meat and vegetables blends well, creating a delicious taste. The noodles are pleasantly chewy and thick, which is satisfying. It's delicious, but a bit pricey. Perhaps because there aren't many other options nearby? Are they confident because of the tourists from Kindaichi Onsen?
Upon entering the restaurant, there are rare food sample displays to look at before ordering and paying at the counter. Then, you can take a seat at a spacious table. They only accept cash. The food samples are large and the portions are generous. The restaurant also has a large interior and ample parking. The fried chicken ramen and hamburger ramen are amazing! There are plenty of manga to keep you entertained while you wait.
I visited around 3:00 pm. As soon as I entered, there were many food samples in the showcase, from which I chose my menu and placed my order and paid first. About 80% of the tables were occupied. After paying, I sat at an empty table. The chairs (or sofa?) were very comfortable to sit on. A staff member came and brought spoons and forks. I also had to provide my name and phone number for COVID-19 safety measures. I ordered the mild tonkatsu curry. The tonkatsu was crispy and the meat was tender, while the curry sauce had a mild and gentle flavor. The salad had dressing on it and the fukujinzuke was served separately. There was a manga corner in the back of the restaurant, where you could read manga while waiting for your food. It was lunchtime on a weekday, so customers were coming in and out rapidly.
