It can get a bit breezy, but they do have blankets to help keep warm. The outside seating is at bench type tables whereas the inside is more traditional restaurant seating.<br/ <br/ The first thing that struck me was how polite, friendly and well spoken the staff were which is always appreciated. <br/ <br/ Not only was the service appreciated, but the food arrived in good time and the well thought out dishes were well presented and enjoyable.<br/
Fresh Wholesome tasty food from Pear tree, great vibe with friendly staff. Great menu variety, hard to decide what to eat here. A must when traveling to Hermanus.
A small restaurant set on the promenade with great sea views if you are lucky enough to get the right table.<br/ <br/ I had the calamari and salad and my partner the chicken curry. We shared a lime cheesecake.<br/ <br/ Both the mains and dessert were excellent and I recommend you visit and try for yourself. The waiter attending attending to us was both knowledgeable and friendly without being intrusive.<br/ <br/ This restaurant is definitely on our list for a follow visit when we are next in Hermanus.
It was a really cold and user able winter's evening when we decided to go for dinner and the venue and the wine turned out to be spectacular. <br/ <br/ It is a relatively small but very boat restaurant and the archive is very personal with knowledgeable waiters.<br/ <br/ We had the pulled lamb pasta with truffle oil, totally to die for. This was truly a master piece. We also had the Pear Tree bartered hake and chips, also very good, the Salad of beetroot, pear and goats cheese, also truly devine and then the Fried calamari strips. The good was so good, I am truly impressed.
Absolutely fabulous food. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the dishes they ordered. Was very busy, so be sure to book ahead of time.
