Gure Txokoa Zumaia

Delicious food and excellent service. The calamari starter and mixed salad we shared was exceptionally good. Our neighbouring table let us taste their starters/tapas of shrimps with sautéed egg and Galician squid. So we had a teal feast. The waitress had been brilliant in finding us a table outside with two dogs as it seemed everyone wanted to eat there.

What a great experience! We were not heading to this place, but since the other restaurant was full we decided to browse around and in a very small alley we found the place. Young guys serving you with a great attitude and very friendly. The food was nice, typical cuisine of the basque country. The place is always packed, but they will find seating for you.

Enjoyed the food, wine and atmosphere. Definitely recommended! We had the mushrooms, local ham, goat cheese and a crab salad pintxo. All very good. Prices were very reasonable as well.

En general todo perfecto. El ambiente bueno, la comida muy rica y los trabajadores muy majos. Pero me gustaría apuntar dos detalles que nos parecieron feos y que nos dejo un poco de mal sabor de boca: 1. Pedimos pan y ponía en la carta que era 0,5€, pero no ponía que fuese por comensal, por lo que nos cobraron 1,5€. Deberían de preguntar en caso de haber un celiaco o que no se quiera consumir pan para toda la mesa...pero tampoco nos enfadó mucho el asunto. 2. La parte mala fue esta. Pedimos un trago (alcohol) antes de comer y después pedimos una jarra de agua y nos dijeron que solo sacaban botella de agua. Eso es ilegal. Por ley, están obligados a sacarnos agua del grifo ya que es potable. Y estas cosas la verdad si que te dejan mal sabor de boca...

Comimos un revuelto de ajos frescos y gambas con dos platos combinados. Una opción rápida, barata y rica!!
