Contribuiți la feedbackIf you want to have authenic Chinese Food, I suggest you go somewhere else since this restaurant offers only European version Chinese food and they cannot even able to provide genuine Barbecued Pork!
I've been going there for several years now and find the food OK for the price. I went for lunch today and coronavirus measures were in place partitioning between tables and 2 people maximum to a table (although I assumed groups of more than 2 could be accommodated. However the ongoing implementation of the measures were sadly not. I was on my own on the table set for 2. However the waitress did not remove the setting in front of me and when I didn't order a drink with my meal she just moved my glass to the other setting. Therefore when I left my place was simply reset and the place opposite left with any infection I might have transmitted.
We've been there a few times already. Take away or sit down, both options are available there. An ok place to grab food. Not expensive.
This place, with sister restaurants across Zürich, located at the Zürich Enge train station has two sections: the bar section, which gives a good value for money by Swiss standards; and a funky section called a la carte restaurant, which charges twice as much for the same food, and therefore is not actually worth it. The food is truly Chinese but the dishes can be hit and miss. Sichuan chicken (CHF22 with soft drink) was fine but duck and beef dishes (for the same price) were not so good. I guess you get what you pay for by Swiss standards, that is.
Without wishing to seem snooty, I must report his chain relies on serving a version of just OK Chinese food to ignorant European palates,,,hence never allowing for the standard concept IN China of sharing food at table..everything is presented assuming no-one will share anything--heavly underscored because NO Chinese BOWL was ever presented along with the chopsticks....basic paring for any serious Chinese/oriental diner. Indeed when my Chinese partner I indicated we would share our orders, they had a lot of trouble even getting that message across !... we still didn 't get that bowl! But none of this would be significant if the food had been any good...it was not. Their Dim Sum listing was scant padded with silly items like spring rolls! The greater majority were fried--only a few listed actually being steamed~ the most basic technique employed in traditional Cantonese Dim Sum. Never mind all that..they were expensively priced averaging CHF 8 per serve(3) -the fried wonton being the only credible dish of the trio. We shared a dish of Shrimp Fried Rice with which to finish, but this was too oily, over seasoned VERY expensive at CHF 21,50. To cap it all off, they had the cheek to charge us each ONE Swiss Franc for a glass of tap water! You could far better dining elsewhere if you know anything about good Chinese food..give this one a miss.
