Smeily's - Zuerich

Billed as smart casual outside on their signage on their business card in fact this is but a glorified take cafeteria/away set in a spacious (if not slightly cavernous semi industrial environment, masquerading as comfy ! Mine host, the non stop talking Daniel, will rush to welcome you.. you are certainly made welcome! How the place operates is also patiently made clear..in a huge line up of pre cooked food (hardly fresh ! who is kidding who here! you choose what you want (there 's a comic lifting putting down again of metal lids to let you see what things are underneath all those lids . You may have ALL that will fit on ONE only plate that 's it! No buffet this operation! So although it LOOKs like a hotel buffet..it really aint! Water is charged for(IN Switzerland mind! what a cheek! the food is horribly over salted (denied by Daniel as being the case .....but at my suggestion (rejecting his offer of a free coffee to compensate when I sent back the fish filets that had many BONES I selected a pasta..also salty, just so so for the money, quite expensive. One main (22.30, two GLASSES of water (i.5 Franks each! , one just OK coffee= 29CHF...too much money for too little quality. I was disappointed cannot recommend going here.

Restaurant that looks more like a cave. the very rude propriatario (daniel) seemed more like a clown because it was indecent with my company made comments that did not please us and one does not have. the service we were attended by a young girl but who did not understand anything we asked we made the request in german in english and in spanish it was depressing to have such a horrible service. the food that mr daniel made a point of referring to being fresh sometimes (which it was not) was very salty other unknowingly and with an industrial flavor and worst of all i found a hair in my gravy and when i went to complain the girl from the service said she did not understand german that the boss (mr. daniel) would be taking a break summing up i had to pay a food that was not fresh that had a hair that in case we both paid 60fr because they gave us such a special letter who charged us drinks and we drank water that supposedly would be gratifying. So I do not recommend this supposed restaurant to anyone and I do not know how to produce food for children someone should investigate urgently.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Die Idee mit dem Buffet ist spannend. Feine, frische Küche. Freundliches, umgängliches und aufmerksames Personal. Preis-Leistung super. Man ist ein Gast.

Das Essen ist wirklich köstlich, besonders die Saucen sind fantastisch. Das Service-Team ist sehr freundlich, der Chef ist super nett und gut gelaunt; man fühlt sich sehr wohl im Restaurant. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Ich habe in diesem Smeily's Restaurant gegessen. Der Service war schlecht und du hast immer so laut geredet, dass meine Frau und ich nicht sprechen konnten. Das Mädchen im Service sprach kein Deutsch. Als wir uns am Buffet bedienten, war es voller Fliegen im Essen und die Polenta war verdorben. Sie hatte eine schwarze Farbe als wir sahen, wie die Dame die Polenta umrührte, damit sie nicht verdorben wurde. Meine Frau und ich sind gegangen. Ich kann dieses Restaurant niemandem empfehlen, nur wenn Sie ins Krankenhaus wollen.
