Blume - Zuerich

I have a place nearby, but embarrassingly don’t speak good German. The staff could not be more welcoming. The decor and atmosphere are super chic. The food is traditional but very high quality. Service excellent. I am going back!

The atmosphere of this restaurant was comfortable and our waiter was attentive but the food was poor for a restaurant of this quality. The schnitzel was burnt and other food was not very tasty.

Was a bit dubious when told we are eating in Schwamendingen, as I was there in the “Blume” about 5 years ago and was not impressed. But as soon as I entered the restaurant I was blown away how it has changed. It had gone back to a typical homely Swiss restaurant which lovely interior. Very friendly service from the restaurant owners, they make you so welcome. The whole place got great atmosphere. Top quality fresh food. The antipasto with cured meat and olives was excellent. Starter was spinach soup, very nice and creamy. I had the “Zürcher geschnetzeltes with Rösti“ and seasonal vegetables absolutely fresh and everything was perfectly cooked. There is a great spread of cheeses available. Wine was great They have a jukebox which entertained us immensely, we were told the records had not been changed for 40 years, made us laugh. On the way out is a display of apples and the encouraging you to take one home. Will definitely return on my next trip to Zürich. Highly recommend!!!!!!

Wir haben zum zweiten Mal die Blume besucht, dieses Mal im Garten. Es war wirklich wunderschön. Alles hat vom Reservieren bis zum Service gepasst. Der Wein wird in einer 0,75 l Flasche serviert und man zahlt nur für das, was man getrunken hat. Die gegrillten Speisen waren sehr gut. Das Einzige, was mich gestört hat, war der Preis für die Gemüsebeilage vom Grill. 11 CHF für ein paar Gemüsestücke war meiner Meinung nach zu teuer, besonders wenn man bedenkt, dass das Hohrücken Steak bereits 38,00 CHF gekostet hat.

Die Atmosphäre in diesem Restaurant war gemütlich und unser Kellner war aufmerksam, aber das Essen ließ für ein Restaurant dieser Klasse zu wünschen übrig. Das Schnitzel war verbrannt und die anderen Gerichte waren auch nicht besonders schmackhaft.
