Rice Cooker - Zionsville

This is a little different than what I would call traditional Chinese. I really liked the egg rolls, the fried rice is good but different, I wondered if it's brown rice. The crab Rangoon are great big size of your fist and they are sweet, not savory. Ihad never had sweet Rangoon's until the past year and I just do not like them at all. My husband loved his pepper steak and thebeef and broccoli was just good.

Beef was very rubbery and tough, second time in a row. They need to change who they buy their beef from. The original owners would never of served this beef.

Excellent food. Considerable price increases lately but that is all over. Recently renovated dining room which is nice.

Appears to be new on the inside. All of the pictures there posted right now are the old restaurant. New tables new wallpaper new staff new menus since the last time I was there which admittedly has been a while. We had the cashew chicken which I thought hadsome nice vegetables with it and a little bit of fried rice on the side. I ordered it with the optional soup and egg rolladdition. The soup could have been a little bit spicier but overall the food was pretty good. My wife ordered the lettuce wrapswhich we probably won't be ordering again. They do a big carry out business here but the interior renovation might change that.The service was fantastic.

I've debated posting a recommendation for this place for singularly selfish reasons. Part of me wants to keep this restaurant a secret. But another ignoble side of me also likes to share secrets... so to anyone who reads this, perhaps my vices can helpyou decide between options for dinner this evening. My wife and I used to live in Beijing and absolutely loved so many of thelocal restaurants that we discovered over the years. Since moving back to the United States, we are always on the hunt for aplace that approaches the same kind and quality of the food we enjoyed in various family restaurants all over the HaiDianDistrict. Rice Cooker is the closest we've found. Their food is excellent. The prices, fair. The service is swift andattentive. Highly recommended. Xie xie, Rice Cooker!
