The sea grapes were fresh and had a pleasant texture, making them delicious. Goya champuru, Ishigaki beef croquette, Agu pork croquette, and island pickled scallions. Tofu, sea grapes, goya, and more, the island cuisine was truly exquisite. Mozuku vinegar, beef liver cooked at a low temperature, and squid ink salted cream cheese. The tuna miso onigiri had a crispy nori and lovely fragrance. Goya cheese pizza, squid ink fried rice, and island-style yakisoba with spaghetti were unique and delicious, making it hard to decide on a final dish each time. The bright interior, Okinawan music, starting from the transfer car, created an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. The friendly and attentive service from the owner couple was just right, making the experience comfortable. This is a place where you can truly enjoy a vacation down to the smallest details, and it's a restaurant that you definitely want to visit on Kohama Island.
I chose this restaurant as my backup option since the izakaya I had originally planned to go to was fully booked. However, I am thankful for this fateful encounter! Every dish that came out was delicious... • Arsa Tempura - Crispy and crunchy from the first bite, followed by a light and crispy texture. The texture was amazing, and the scent of seaweed wafted through my nose. • Agu Gyoza - Juicy and full of meaty flavor. I wanted to savor every drop and not let any spill. • Gurukun Karaage - The more you chew, the more you can taste the deliciousness of Gurukun. It's almost a waste to swallow it, as you want to keep chewing... The bone cracker part is also crispy with zero fishy smell! Amazing flavor. • Island Garlic Gyoza - Green onions! Garlic! Incredible! Even though it's not meat-based, it's incredibly juicy. I want you to take a bite in one go, definitely. • Squid Ink Fried Rice - No fishy smell! The richness of squid ink combined with the strong taste of garlic. The deliciousness is unstoppable... • Jiimami Tofu with Vanilla - My first time trying Jiimami. The faint aroma of nuts with a warm and gentle texture... When eaten with vanilla and black sugar sauce, it's pure bliss. It melts in your mouth, delicious. I didn't have the courage to order the famous goat sashimi... Since they are only running the restaurant with two people handling transportation, cooking, and customer service, the service and transportation were a bit slow. But it is understandable. When you come to the island, don't rush, take it easy. We had a wonderful time enjoying the laid-back Okinawan vibe!
A small restaurant run by a kind couple. Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious. Congratulations on your 20th anniversary! The complimentary mimigaa and steamed tofu for the anniversary service were delicious. The goya tempura was crispy and the island pork Rafutee was so tender! There was a discount for playing Blackbeard’s Crisis and it was a lot of fun. The Okinawan soba had a unique texture with crunchy vegetables. There was a great variety of drinks available too! A must-visit restaurant if you are sightseeing in Kohama Island!
