A nice Lille place a bit off the beaten track. Price wise a little under the rest of Zermatt (that not saying much in one of the worlds most expensive places...... Nice food, friendly owner and chef that talked to and greeted all guest Nice stroll back Salad brought to table without ordering, 10 CHF per.......

Simple and typically Swiss interior. The food is excellent and the ladies that run the place are absolutely fantastic and accommodating, We stayed in an apartment directly across the street from the La Taverne and it was packed all week. The prices are reasonable too (unusual for Zermatt)!!

Sehr gute Küche mit Schweizer Spezialitäten und sehr feinen Nachspeisen. Frau Petrig führt das Restaurant mit viel Aufmerksamkeit und Leidenschaft, ihr Bruder verblüfft immer wieder mit seinen delikaten Kochkünsten. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

Very nice traditional dishes. A little far out from the tourist crowd, which was nice. They were also open during the off-season.
