Steiner Genuss Werk - Zell am See

We Called in early today to make a reservation and the chap on the bar was great and we thought it was fine as the chap was lovely and we said we wanted a table now so crowed and took his advice coming at 1945/2000 and not 1800 until we turned up - went upstairs and the other chap (looked like the one only serving, we waited until we decided to come over) was unhelpful / blank look on his face and also wanted to sandwich us in with no room to a table you could fit anyone in. We asked to be seated another table and blank look again, again unhelpful bad service would recommend - such a pity!

Lovely pub/restaurant. The bearded members of bar staff were really friendly and chatty and it became like our little local during our ski trip. I had many hot chocolates

Well located opposite the gondola station this place has a contemporary semi industrial feel complete with hydroelectric plant! My wife chose the trout and said it was the best she's ever had, however I found the choices limited and opted for deep fried chicken which was good. For desert I had apple strudel which also was good and my wife chose cheese mousse, also good. Good atmosphere, good food, pleasant staff, just felt it needed a bit more to make it great.

Poor food for a really crazy price. I recommend The Burger Factory or Steinerwirt ... it will be really really better and cheaper or for the similar price.
