Contribuiți la feedbackMy wife and I had the omakase, we were amazed by the clean and fresh flavors from the fish available at the time, they prepared everything to perfection. Less is more when it comes to Japanese, excellent service! Loved it!
This is a quaint sushi eatery in Plaza Andares, so small that you may miss it. We went for a degustacion dinner. We tried different tastings that were simply delicious. We also ordered a bottle of Gruner Vetliner which was overpriced but it was...the only wine on the list we liked and we love GV. You let yourself be guided by the chefs. All you have to do is sit and enjoy. The wine is poured, the glasses filled with water, the table cleaned after each tasting. You can chat with your neighbor and with the chefs. Two hours go by quickly and you are left wanting more not because you are not full but because it is so good. Once in a while is necessary to splurge like this.
This has become one of my favorites (if not ‘the’ favorite). Small place for seats. Real Japanese food. The ‘Kama Toro’ (fatty neck tuna) is superb. Try the eel nigiris with foie gras and truffle oil and grated truffle. All of the fish is...of outstanding flavor and freshness. There are specials some days and you can find Petrossian caviar and Wagyu beef for nigiris. The executive chef Daisuke Maeda knows he has a very piece of Japan here in Guadalajara. I recommend to do reservation because the place is small. Open cuisine for lunch and ‘omakase’ for dinner.
This was definitely a great experience. We ordered the nigiri omakase and it was delicious. They first serve you a salad while you wait for the nigiris. The service was great and everyone was really attentive. It was a nice touch that they let you...pick out your sake cups. The nigiri themselves were all delicious. Only one had a garnish, which just shows the quality of the fish. We tried a variety of white dish which were all delicious, along with the many parts of the tuna we had. We tried two different salmons, which was really nice to compare side by side. I preferred the Scottish salmon. The meal ends with a nice miso soup. Highly recommend visiting. I also advice making a reservation in advance.
As a chef and restaurant owner, I am very hesitant to eat sushi in Guadalajara since all of the sushi contains cream cheese. Really?? This is NOT the case at Juni-ko. WOW! The quality of the fish blew me away and the chef who prepared...our meal was outstanding. Staffed by super attentive guys. It is so strange to have such an outstanding sushi restaurant here in Guadalajara, but I am so happy I have finally found them!
