La Palapa Mexican - Yucca Valley

The food was delicious! I thought my Tia from Mexico was in the kitchen cooking, it was that good. So good!

Food is pretty good except for chips and salsa, which is the indication of a really good Mexican restaurant, IMO. Chips are not warm, and salsa is runny, not chunky.

Fast and friendly service. The decor is a little outdated.

Nina provided exceptional service to our group. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we had an authentic and enjoyable lunch experience. All of my guests wanted to leave personal tips for her, and my company typically adds a 20% gratuity. She definitely deserves recognition from anyone reviewing this restaurant. Don’t be misled by the exterior; the interior is cozy, and the bar is very inviting. We also hosted a two-day seminar in the Cantina area next to the bar.

I often forget that this place is located in Yucca. The interior of the restaurant appears somewhat dated, with unusual decor, but it does seem clean. The staff is incredibly friendly. We ordered the shrimp ceviche and deep-fried shrimp with spicy sauce, and both were delicious! On this day, the shrimp was fresh.
