Nypd Ypsilanti Pizza

A friend unexpectedly came to visit from out of town, and by the time I finished work, it was almost midnight. We set out to find something to eat, and he suggested pizza, which I was totally on board with. A few of us wandered into YPD, and I was immediately charmed by the cozy dining room—it felt like a perfect spot for grabbing a bite and doing some late-night studying. The guy behind the counter was really friendly and provided great service, and the pizza was quite tasty. We ordered pizza by the slice, and I appreciated that it wasn’t too greasy, which is something I always look for. It was cooked just right, not overdone or undercooked. I would definitely go back. I even picked up a menu, and I noticed there are plenty of other items besides pizza that I’d love to try.

Hey, this place is under new ownership, so the previous reviews don’t really apply except for the one from last month. The current owner is making some excellent pizza—probably the best in the area. If you're in the EMU district, you definitely need to check it out. I’m sure you’ll want to come back for more. I'm heading over in about ten minutes to grab a large sausage pizza. I've tried nearly a dozen pizzas since the new ownership took over, and they've all been fantastic. Plus, you won't have to take out a loan like you would ordering from Domino's up the hill, which can set you back $30 for just two mediocre large pizzas. Here at NYPD, two large pizzas will only run you around $12 or so—definitely under $15—for much more flavorful pizza and bigger portions, not to mention an amazing crust.

I've ordered delivery a couple of times with my mom, and the food is fantastic! I absolutely love their subs and onion rings! The service staff is very friendly too! This place is definitely on my go-to list for lunch!

This restaurant is one of the best hidden gems in the Ypsilanti area. The food is incredible—just a slice of their cheese pizza feels like a little piece of heaven. The staff is exceptionally friendly and courteous, enhancing the overall experience. It's conveniently located just off the EMU campus, and I always feel safe there, even at night. The dining area is consistently clean. I wish some local restaurants in the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area could learn from NYPD about how to run a proper restaurant and treat their customers. Truly wonderful!

I ordered a large pizza for pickup online, and I must say, the staff was incredibly helpful. The pizza was outstanding, and the price was great too. I’ll definitely be ordering again!
