The espresso is incredibly smooth and flavorful on its own! The lattes and mochas are always perfectly balanced in sweetness, and the food is fantastic too! While vegan and gluten-free options can sometimes be hit or miss, everything here is simply delicious. Plus, the staff is genuinely kind and down-to-earth!
Regarding the atmosphere, I appreciated learning about the individual who sources the coffee beans from around the globe. I have a special connection to this, having visited the finca in Guatemala where Campamento Alto is produced. It felt like a small piece of home. While there are seats indoors, I personally prefer sitting outside at one of the picnic tables on the lovely terrace. They also have garden chairs in a grassy area by the train tracks, separated by a chain-link fence for safety, which is nice if you're there with kids!
It's a fantastic coffee shop with a wonderful atmosphere. The vibe is relaxed and enjoyable, making it an ideal spot to sip coffee while getting some work done.
Was in Ypsilanti for a couple days and saw this place and had to check it out. Very welcoming environment. Baristas were very friendly. The nitro cold brew was solid. Would definitely go back again and buy some of their merch/bags of coffee. Overall a really cool place to get coffee!
It always feels good to support local businesses, and it feels even better when you really like what they offer. Stop in for some beans with background and get a chip for a future beverage. I've learned a bit more about coffee and can finally tell the difference in flavor profiles thanks to here. Mine can get long sometimes, but I think that's way better than the opposite.
