Yamachen Sushi - Yorktown

I can't say enough good things about yama! we found yama years ago in virginia beach. we've been pulled after williamsburg since then, so that's the next. eating is always great, the service was amazing. when they go try the stone rolls and vulcan rolls!

I was with a group of employees on a Tuesday while we were on work. it has some cure decoration inside. it was empty what could be expected for a Tuesday. I don't know them. the waitress brought us free edamame to start. we all ordered drinks and some of us ordered some of the steamed and fried gyozas to start as appetizers. the appetizers tasted good. good presentation and good amount(6) of gyozas for a starter. we ordered 2-3 sushi rolls. probably a bit too much haha, but we were on a job trip. I ordered the lover role and a garnelentempura roll. the lover role had spicy thunfish and avocado. they were both really good taste, quality, quality wise. the waitress also brought some two free spring roll beakers with our rolls and three pieces free cheesecake after we finished our escapes.

Food quality was really good. I usually dip my sushi into a bit soy sauce, but here it was too good to change the taste. our waitress was really nice and sweet. kept coming back to make sure everything was good and if we needed something. overall experience was great. only negatiw is that it was quite warm there, I assume Hvac problems.

Such a great restaurant!! The lady who is always working (maybe the owner? is Soo sweet! She is very kind, always going above and beyond and often has given little extras through your meal, such as edamame, an extra roll, dessert, etc. The quality of the food is always great and the service is wonderful. Highly recommend!
