Persnickety Crane Cafe - Yorktown

A very good and inviting experience, especially for family of various ages. I actually booked 3 events there and all were extremely successful and I had good management that made it easy for me to set up and make sure things went smoothly. That me as a host and organizers. As a poet and writer who performs himself on occasion. The first time was January of 2020. Since then, I lost count at how many times I perform there , but my main point they take art and the ability of it to bring family and people together seriously. And so definitely a experience to enjoy.Kid-friendliness: It is a place for a variety of ages, and family. It is sometimes hard to get some artists to understand that. The better they understand that, the better the reception is for them.

This is my second time visiting. But my experience this time was COMPLETELY different than my previous. Maybe, it was just me choosing the wrong place to come to study, the cafe is purposely kid oriented which is fine if that’s what you’re into. It was really loud and distracting for me personally. If I had kids or friends with kids I would say come here and hang. But it’s NOT a good place to study! The food was ok, I ordered a wrap and a lavender latte. The barista was super nice and the establishment is clean so those are some positives!

This is my favorite cafe. I take my entire family and friends. A lovely area for Moms and kids, wow do I wish there was a place like this when I had small kids many years ago.Coffee is the best in the area.Took the girls in the family for high tea last Sunday. It was wonderful, they even made a separate gluten free wonderful tray separate for my daughter. I was so surprised with the presentation if the GF tray. We had so much fun. I highly recommend. Found this little gem while visiting CNU with my daughter. I am super picky when it comes to coffee and don’t normally get anything with added flavor, but on a whim I ordered the Persnickety Mocha Latte. Oh my goodness… this was literally the best latte I’ve had. Everything about it was perfect… you can taste the flavors of the coffee, milk to coffee ratio was perfect, no artificial taste, not too sweet. It was amazing.Also tried the chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious! Highly recommend.Can’t wait to come back when we’re in the area!
