Tapenade Bistro - York

We were delighted to discover this hidden gem of a restaurant for lunch the other day. After living in the area for over a year, we were tired of dining at local restaurants that served mediocre food that seemed to come from a can, a box, or the freezer. It felt like all the restaurants in the southern central PA region were purchasing their food in bulk from wholesale stores like Sam's Club, BJ's, or Costco. Tapenade Bistro was a refreshing change of pace. Our lunch tasted incredibly fresh, as if each ingredient had just been picked, and the dishes were expertly prepared by skilled chefs or cooks. The owner, who we believe was a woman, made a point to speak with each table of diners and was genuinely interested in their dining experience. Our server was also attentive and professional. Overall, dining at Tapenade Bistro in the middle of the day was one of the best culinary experiences we've had in the York area in the past 18 months. We applaud the owners and their staff for providing us with such a wonderfully crafted meal.

Only they wished openly more so I could come more often! they have long been my favorite lunch spot in york. excellent menu, friendly family-run staff, great location. they have recently made a lot of takeout, and while the menu for them shrunk, I think it is still excellent food. can't wait until the mufaletta comes back!

Pickup service through the last 9 months has been wonderful. Baked oatmeal is awesome. Had beef stroganoff last night that was wonderful. Check it out for delicious home cooked goodies.

The service at this restaurant is excellent, and the food is delicious. The menu changes frequently, keeping things fresh year after year.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic - fresh and with a wonderful variety. It's not your typical run-of-the-mill place. I definitely recommend checking them out. Personally, I love their strawberry crepe.
