Handel's Homemade Ice Cream - York

This is a great little ice cream stand. They serve homemade ice cream, sundaes and milkshakes. Sadly on the day we stopped they did not have just plain coffee ice cream. Perhaps another day. The staff is very friendly. The ice cream stand is easily accessible from the road

The wait was about 40 minutes, which felt quite long. This was my first visit with a group of kids and teens, and the place was bustling, especially given the lovely weather. The kids really enjoyed the chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream flavors. The adults opted for sundaes, and I have to say the chocolate raspberry truffle and cookie dough ice creams were absolutely delicious, making me eager to return. However, the sundaes were supposed to contain three scoops but seemed smaller than the cones, which did have three scoops. On the plus side, there was a great selection of flavors to choose from. The staff were friendly, but with such long lines, it can be a bit off-putting; I saw some people leave after waiting 20 minutes.

Very good extra thick strawberry shake. Seems like a good place for a date. Highly recommend. Also a very good community around here.

The ice cream here is amazing! I ordered a shake, while my daughter enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor, and her mom treated herself to a hot fudge sundae. It's definitely a place worth visiting!

Ice cream was amazing. Line was long but well handled. Kids inside were scrambling how they should be when it's busy, but good service was not compromised. Monster shakes are truly monster. There's absolutely no way I could finish it by myself. The thing needs a warning label. Order online to skip a lot of the line when you get there.
