The Fat Badger York (fka Lamb Lion)

This restaurant is a decent choice for gluten-free options, but it may not be the best choice. While they do offer gluten-free bread and some tasty tapas dishes, it's important to note that they don't have a dedicated fryer, so the chips are not safe for those with celiac disease. Unfortunately, they don't have gluten-free beer on tap.

We couldn’t recommend The Fat Badger any more! We stayed at the hotel and decided to have a Sunday roast there for dinner. We tried all the nibbles, a pork roast and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and there isn’t a single thing I could fault in the whole meal. Not only was the food incredible, but so was the staff. Darren went above and beyond to ensure our meal and our experience was one to remember. He was amazing and we’re so happy with our whole experience with The Fat Badger. If we ever find ourselves back in York we will be back again for sure.

Absolutely lovely evening. Thoroughly enjoyed food and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

2nd time eating here in past 3 years or so. Would happily revisit in future. Great option for a nice dinner in a lovely atmosphere. Prices fair. Staff all very nice. Definitely higher standards than your average venue.
