Katie's Cottage - Yonkers

The food is delicious and, in my opinion, the best Guinness in Yonkers by far. The bar is beautiful with a great atmosphere and the service is excellent. This is one of my favorite spots, keep up the great work!

The staff at the restaurant was very friendly, but our food took a long time to come out. It was strange that a Caucasian family who arrived after us received their food much faster. We both used American currency, so the difference in service was confusing. The waitresses were great, but it seemed like the chef could use some assistance. The steak we ordered medium well came out well done, and my bacon was so crispy it broke apart in my hands. Overall, it was an okay place, but we likely won't be back.

I used to enjoy coming to this restaurant for trivia nights, but my recent experience on a Sunday afternoon left me extremely disappointed. Despite understanding that delays can occur in the kitchen, I was frustrated by the lack of communication regarding the wait time. After waiting 2 hours for our food, we were told that they had run out of the item I had ordered, which was the main reason for my meal choice. Although I would have been understanding of this situation if it hadn't been for the lengthy wait, I found it unacceptable given the circumstances. The restaurant had ample time to inform me in advance so that I could have changed my order. Additionally, I was disappointed by the lack of any gesture to make up for the inconvenience, such as offering a discount. The experience was made even worse by the fact that my elderly father was growing increasingly uncomfortable during the long wait. It's unfortunate because I used to enjoy dining here, but after this experience, I have no intention of returning.

Jackie is great. Served me many times. A little off her game tonight. But 4 of us were very happy.
