Koya こや - Yomitan

Almost there was, trying to find it, but repeatedly seeing signs, so we knew we were close. it is around the corner from where google landed us. it could show as “free space café”. they see pictures. it is a nice and cozy house based caffe that also sells various okinawan jewellery and nicnaks. it had a wonderful character and the owner made me welcome and happy to be there, great place only for a coffee or drink as well as for eating. the vegan choices were okinawan taco rice (which I had), a vegan sandwich, and a hummus and avocado bagel with vegan egg. I ordered “go” and was amazed by the American size. the tako rice was above all a Japanese white rice base with a very tasteful refill of ground soy protein, tomato, vegetables and all covered by salat. it was delicious and I was surprised when I was finished the whole bowl. I am not personally a fan of fake meat, but that was very tasty and not extraputting. the owner was the only server, and there are signs showing their membership in the Japanese vegan society.
