Really fresh sashimi and excellent fish dishes (I recommend the head of the sea stream . We liked everything we eat here. You have an incredibly long list of choices of desires, and they have helped us choose based on our preferences (so if you know nothing about will, they will help you choose! . I called a reservation and everything has been treated in English. When we arrived there, copies of the English menu were waiting for the table. The staff is super nice and the restaurant is very clean. The decor is a combination of trendy and traditional, making the interior a quite unique appearance. It came just under 20,000 yen among four people, so while it was not necessarily affordable, it was also not astronomical superior to how much we consumed and the excellent quality of everything we ate! There was no smoking when we were there (but I don't know if that's because smoking is not allowed or because nobody smoked this night, so it made for a really pleasant night - over four hours try out different foods, sake and beer!
7 stars, I love this place! Sake Bar with good food. The English menu and Narita, the head barman, speaks excellent English and was very generous to give us tasting of different sakes and plum wine.
Had some absolutely fantastic Sashimi, yakitori, and here willing. Not only did the bartender speak English, but also the people sitting by me offered to help me in English. So nice people! A little expensive, but damn it was worth it. I hope I'll be back with friends when I'm in Tokyo.
This place is known as Sasagin in English, although you will never find that on a nameplate at this traditional Izakaya in Tokyo. There is no English menu here either, but don't let that deter you from dining here. From the miso cod fish to the yakitori sticks, the food here are done masterfully and complements the wide assortment of sake they have available. The venue is cosy too and is inviting even though I don't speak a word of Japanese. One of the few places I will visit again and again.
