Grant Village Dining Room

We stayed at Grant Village for four nights and ate in Grant Village dining room one evening and every day for breakfast. The staff was great, although overworked. At the beginning of September they were very short. The breakfast buffet was great, although they occasionally ran out of food and the morning brush left long lines out of the door. The restaurant was very nice with a great view of the lake

The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, the food was really good and the location is perfect with view of the lake. Service was a little questionable, but I suppose it was because I was a single person taking a table, and the server wanted the table to flip. Did not even make eye contact with me, and our only conversations were when I placed my order, the result came after the food, and to check .. simply not very friendly. I had a better and friendly service from the girls who refilled all drinks... You were great. I would recommend this place to others, but only if it were more than 1 person. Visited dinner 7/12

BAD MANAGEMENT!!! If you come to Yellowstone, note that very few restaurants are even open. The sign at the door to this said dinner from 5:00. So we waited for an hour to open it and thought we had a dinner. We were wrong, at least 30 other people! A manager came out of the hotel and unlocked the door. We were one of the first ones there at the opening after waiting...just to find out you need to have a reservation! No signs that show this and nothing on one of the websites that say so. How do you make a reservation in a park with little to no cell service?! The manager's answer was that 300 guests came. I could see the reservation page. Most reservations have been cancelled! The whole place was empty and he turned around 50 people who wanted to eat now! The perception I got, unless you were a hotel guest in his hotel you were. I have no idea if the food was even decent, but with this treatment they don't get my patronage! Most restaurants have limited service or are closed. I know that the flood damage closed 2 entrances, but 3 are open. Pitiful.

It was the most horrible food i have eaten. Very expensive and the service was unfriendly. Please don't spend your money and time here.
