If you ever find yourself out and about YS and need a lovely meal, go see Aahar. Highly, highly recommend the Saag Paneer, it is creamy and the chunks of paneer are big and plentiful. I used to be a big garlic naan person but I tried the onion and I don't think I'll ever go back, PACKED with flavor. Thank you for a great meal, and even better conversation Aahar!!!
We ordered the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, samosas, and naan. We stopped to eat there because it’s a food trailer and we thought we could grab a quick dinner on our way through Yellow Springs. Not so! It took a half hour to prepare our food. There were no tables to sit at but luckily the little ice cream place next door graciously let us sit at their outdoor tables to eat. We ordered chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, samosas, and naan. The only thing that was good were the samosas. They had flavor. However, the two dinners were the most bland Indian food EVER almost no flavor except a little heat. We love the flavors of Indian food and this was really disappointing. The chicken in the tikka masala was tough, and the saag paneer was small pieces of spinach not cooked down or blended and in a thin sauce that looked like milky water. It was so weird that I’m having trouble describing it. Just know it was totally unappetizing. The naan wasn’t good either it had an odd taste and I’m not sure how you mess that up. It was a complete waste of money: $52 and the food was odd and tasteless. The portions were a decent size but who would even want to eat it? We definitely won’t be back on our next trip through Yellow Springs and I suggest everyone else avoids it as well. I’m not sure where the good reviews are coming from. Either it was an off night when we were there or people in Yellow Springs don’t know what good Indian food is!
They may have great food but what good is it if they have the worst customer experience. All I needed to know was what's the portion size of the entrees and the size of the Naan so I don't end up wasting food. The amount of rant and nonsense I had to hear is so painful. How can a tourist know they are not ful size resto if it's not listed anywhere; yet the owner expected me (a tourist) to know this. I had to decline being served by such an unreasonable person coming from a service industry
Very good food and nice and healthy conversation in the mean time Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
For the high prices I felt the quality was severely lacking. Dishes were bland with very little spices and flavor. We had two different appetizers and two different entrees and naan bread. He handed our stack of food to us without putting it in a bag... No napkins unless requested. Food took an hour to prepare... Pretty disappointing overall. Service: Take out
