Kookoolan Farms - Yamhill

I absolutely adore this restaurant! If you're looking to experience a truly enchanting place on land, then this is the spot for you. You can explore their farm and purchase some of the most unique and delicious local fare. The staff are incredibly friendly and well-informed. They even designed and built the beautiful country house, right down to the wooden floors. This is a must-see destination in the stunning Yamhill district. Whether you make it a day trip or include it as a highlight on a wine tour, I highly recommend visiting this gem of a restaurant.

Once you try the beef at this restaurant, sourced locally from Kookoolan Farm, you won't want to go back to store-bought meat! We were incredibly pleased with our 1/4 pound burger and had no idea what we were missing out on.

I believe it is the most delicious chicken I have ever tasted. I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit to the northwest!

Wonderful customer service and even better meat! I've bought 2 halves of beef, a half a lamb, 20 chickens, and a share of halibut from them as well as random things from their farm store and the quality is fantastic. Also, by changing from industrial raised meat to grass fed finished my annual bloodwork came back vastly improved and I avoided needing to go on a lipid medicine. The doctor was confused about how I improved so much in a year. I just said I ate more red meat He shook his head. LOL.

Kookoolan farms has delicious meat that one can feel good about eating. Farmers Chrissie and Koorosh take excellent care of their animals, who are humanely raised and not transported elsewhere for processing. This is truly sustainable agriculture, and it is evident in the quality of the meat. The chickens are the best I have ever tasted! You cannot get meat like this at a grocery store. If not for this small farm, I would ethically avoid meat altogether. Their butcher has custom cutting, and so it is easy to get package sizes appropriate for 2 people. This meat is simply the best you can get, and worth every penny.
