Contribuiți la feedbackOrdered the Carne asada place. Food was good. Restaurant was very clean. Service was little bit on the slow side at first but the service was good. I would like to return to this location soon.
Ithis place used to be my favorite in Yakima valley Unfortunately it is now closed Don't appreciate any notice on their part that it was closing its doors, I have passed by numeral time and still clised
Waited for an hour for the food to come out and be awful. The service was even worse. The waitress had such a bad attitude. It was upsetting because it was such a great place to eat before they got new waitresses.
For Mexican food it was about a C+ . Now coming from the Tucson area I was a bit spoiled by some amazing Mexican food. It appears that they have a big new menu here. Nice Menus..large print for us older folk. But a Super Burrito is around 20 bucks as most dishes were around or over that. I had the Chili Colorado and my wife had the Pollo crema. Upon entering it took a little bit for someone to show up at the front (very unusual for a Mexican Rest. She wasnt friendly at all..just the typical how many and then ushered us to the table. Took a while to even get someone over to take a drink order. The waitress was the same person that made our drinks and some training should be in order in that dept. Now it was a bit busy and they didn't seem staffed appropriately. Now, no matter what, in customer service of any kind the customer should never know that you are having a bad day or understaffed by burnt out staff. As a staff member you must put on your game face and smile and insure that your customer will maybe want to come back. Now Prices seem high there considering that most of the plate was just beans and rice! Portions were generous but the Chili Colorado was a bit on the chewy side and was over-spiced with chili powder that had not cooked in. Talk about heart burn! I have had Chili Colorado all over the states and parts of the world and would give this dish a C grade at best. My wife reported that her Pollo Crema was very good however. When your prices are on the high side you really have to go above and beyond in your service dept. Now don't get me wrong the service was not terrible but it wasn't great either. Maybe a C- to C grade at best. This is the 2nd time I have been there and I may go back but sure am not excited about doing that either. Restaurants need to read there reviews. Sure some people would complain if ice cream was served cold to them. But when you get 18 complaints all for the same thing you need to take note! I would give this place a try and maybe you'll have a better dining experience.
We stopped at El Porton for lunch we were quickly seated given water, chips salsa. We ordered our lunch 2 tacos a blackberry margarita for me hubby had 2 chicken enchiladas without cheese with plain beans an ice tea. Everything was delicious the meals were perfectly cooked super hot out pretty quickly for it being at lunchtime. My drink was yummy with the perfect amount of tequila. Staff was friendly knowledgeable. All in all a delicious lunch date.
