Nice view and great atmosphere! But desserts were too sweet

I ate five meal course and quite delicious. We tried to stay until afternoon tea to try the afternoon tea set but it was all sold out for the day. It is better to make an appointment for the afternoon tea set as it is limited.

Service was terrible! The staff were arrogant incompetent. They had ZERO knowledge about the menu! I asked about the cocktail listed in the afternoon tea menu. He couldn't explain what kind of spirit was in the cocktail. He brought the drink menu said you search yourself. However the cocktail I asked wasn't in the drink menu. I chose a cocktail in the drink menu instead. Terrible! Like flavoured water ZERO communication among the staff themselves. My mother ordered slow cooked beef sandwich. It took a long time. I asked the manager to check with the kitchen. He had no idea we ordered it. Obviously they could not be bother to communicate with each other. I asked a cup of warm water for mum. The waiter said NT$150 per head for water (oh! Refillable . I asked him to bring me another cup when he was refilling mum's cup. He said that would be another NT$150 or I drink it from my mother's cup for free. Totally understand bottled water (sparkling/ imported mineral water is chargeable in a restaurant. However I don't see the logic that a high end restaurant charges tap water. (oh! The manager explained warm water is filtered. Mum and I joked about this ridulous policy. We were wondering the takeout box would be chargeable or not! Conclusion: Nice Deco, food is nice but lost points on service delivery. I suggest the management look into training staff properly. You want to be a high end restaurant then you need to work on the service delivery as the staff have no idea what they are serving. The afternoon tea menu is lack of descriptions. When guests ask about the dessert/cocktails in the menu, the staff should confidently describe the ingredients of the product properly explain what the sweets/ cake is today listed on the menu.

Good food with nice presentation and a stunning view of Taipei city

VERY DISAPPOINTED! As a high end French restaurant, I heard good words from my friends, but the poor service is not we expected. The food is good, however, there is a manager-looking person, nonstop staring at us, and gave us very cold greeting. I will not recommend this restaurant to any friends travel to Taipei.
