La Casa Della Pasta - Xabia

It’s no surprise the food is pretty poor quality with dozens of options on the menu they simply can’t be cooked freshly despite what their website says . This place is ripe for a visit from Gordon Ramsay. I Ordered pasta with tomatoes and mozzarella and I think they were actually the only 3 ingredients. Rubbery pasta (not freshly cooked) a few tomatoes and some freezing cold mozzarella grated on top. This is an insult to Italian cookery !! With so many tourists swarming around the town it will always be busy but don’t be fooled the food is well below par. Oh and don’t complain about anything you’ll just end up having an argument. You’ve been warned!

So disappointing. We've been coming to this restaurant for years every time we visit. 2 of my children had Rigatoni in a tomato sauce with Mozzarella. The Mozzarella had come straight out of the fridge and the pasta put on top. It arrived stone cold. The heat of the pasta hadn't got close to the centre of the Mozzarella ball. Ruined the whole dish. I had linguine with seafood, I've been sick all day. My daughter had the same and she is ok. Another member of our table had carbonara, it had no flavour at all. Another daughter had seafood risotto but lots of little bits of mussel shell in the rice put her off eating it all. My husband had the same and said it was tasteless. My husband ordered a bottle of wine for me, but the waiter stuck the bucket next to my husband. Am I not capable of pouring myself a drink?! Even when he knew I was the only one drinking it, it still wasn't moved. I could have gone round and moved it but it's still poor customer service and lack of attention. We never complain, just pay and leave. Dont want a fuss. But I hope the restaurant can review its own meals and make changes. We have lots of friends who live in Spain and recommended this place. Such a shame, we won't be back.

On arrival at the restaurant we asked for wine and a jug of tap water. The waiter told us they don't serve tap water even though this has been compulsory under Spanish law since early this year. I wonder what other parts of Spanish law they ignore. I refuse to pay rip off prices for half litre bottles of water (larger bottles are not available at this restaurant. We left.

Fuimos a cenar en grupo, el pan de la casa frio sacado tal cual de la nevera y seco, la lasaña de la casa sabía a pimienta negra básicamente y el plato de Tagliatelle trufada estaba muy aceitosa. Tanto tiempo escuchando buenos comentarios sobre este restaurante y me decepcionó bastante tomando en cuenta que fuimos desde valencia a posta. Y la atención realmente no era buena… (Toda la mesa estábamos conformados por hosteleros).

Un sitio acojedor, muy limpio y con su toque personal, destacar la comida, estuvo todo bueno desde los entrantes hasta el postre, solo que si eres de comer mucha cantidad las raciones son bastante justitas, lo cual perdonas por lo deliciosas que estan. Volveré seguro pero me pediré 2 platos!
