Contribuiți la feedbackI want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Ed, Nat and The Queens Head in Wolverley for hosting an incredible birthday party for me last Saturday. The night was fantastic! The hospitality was top-notch and the curry buffet was outstanding with a variety of meat and vegetarian options that were loved by everyone. The staff worked tirelessly to ensure it was a great evening and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for revitalizing our beloved pub. Here's to its continued success!
Just came back from trying the Posh Fish Fingers at this restaurant. The batter was incredibly light and the tartar sauce was homemade. The chips were also made from real potatoes.
Some friends and i decided to pop in for a drink as we had heard really good things about this pub recently. It is a really charming place and in such a lovely location next to the little stream which my friends dogs enjoyed a paddle in. The food looked good so we decided to order. We all had something different, i chose the fish and chips which was so tasty. The chips were homemade and really fluffy but still crispy on the outside and the dish was really good! The others had the steak baguette and the mac and cheese burger which they also said were great and really tasty! We had dessert too as it was only £9.95 for 2 courses. We all chose the oreo cheesecake and it’s probably the best desserts i’ve ever had!! There was a good selection of drinks especially as my friends love a gin and there were plenty of flavours to choose from! We will be back again soon!!
Stopped here as I was passing through. Great food, everything you’d expect on a Sunday dinner. Service was great too given the heat and how busy the pub was!
We decided to try the Queens Head in Wolverley hadn't been in since Sue Clive ran the pub a few years back. We popped in after 2pm but they said they serve food all day? The menu had a limited choice typical pub food. I first asked for the fish of the day and was told it wasn't on, so both my Wife and I decided on Pie and Mash they were offering main meal desert for £10 Just two tables were being used but they both left leaving us the only two in the lounge. The staff were all quite young but nice and friendly and quickly brought over our drinks. When the food came they brought two Pie Chips when we had both ordered Pie Mash. My Wife decided hers was OK buy I sent mine back and asked for mash like I'd ordered. As usual I had to wait for their silly mistake while my wife tucked in to her hot meal which is not ideal when you have come out to eat together. They brought me my Pie Mash the Mash was cold and the stem broccoli too? the pie was hot with what I considered a poorly topped pastry (not good) I called them over and told them the mash was cold which they took away and microwaved it hot. It was then brought back for the third time but by this time was Wife had eaten her lunch the food was very disappointing other than the two deserts they brought out they were both quite nice and we both enjoyed but I will not return to eat there again, the main meals we had were poor quality I guess the moral of our adventure is you get what you pay for £10 each for a meal and desert but I expected more, when Sue did the cooking the food was always excellent. I wound not recommend anyone to eat in the Queens Head at the moment it was really very poor. I went to pay and the Young lady said I've only charged you Children's price on the one meal and had knocked off £2.90 I think it was which didn't even cover the poor experience of having to bring me my meal back twice, wrong order, cold food, not eating together and the poor quality of the meal Lovely Country pub for a drink but I wouldn't eat there if it was free.
