When we entered the premises all the lights in the restaurant were off.They employ 2 young people who didnt havea clue what they were doing,we had to request everything fom plates,cutlery and napkins.They didnt know what Gin was and they stood behind the counter giggling not attending to us paying customers.We were the only ones in there and i can undertand why.I recommend a takeaway from here but not tosit in
I really wanted to have a good experience as not been here for some time. Luke warm food . Ok but not great. No atmosphere and felt awkward in there. They really need a front of house to greet and make you feel welcome. Ask if everyone ok. Ensure cutlery there and do you want anything else etc. the place is dated. Carpets tired. Toilets not great. It’s a shame but I cannot recommend it
Walked in as I wanted to take my two kids for a dining-in chinese meal and was greeted by a run down restaurant, dimly lit and full of teenagers lounging over the chairs and sitting on bikes, it clearly just a doss house now. I was told by one of them that's its takeout and cash only now. Would not recommend!

On our many visits to this epicurean paradise, we’ve tasted our way through dishes that could only be described as divine. The crispy duck, with its skin that crackles like a symphony, is a revelation. The sweet and sour pork? A masterpiece, balancing the flavours like a seasoned tightrope walker. And don’t even get us started on the dim sum – each bite is like a little pocket of joy, bursting with flavour and wrapped in perfection. Of course, every restaurant has its quirks, and Chung Ying is no exception. There was that one time we were refused entry – but honestly, we’ve chalked it up to being so popular that they simply couldn’t handle the fabulousness of our presence that night. And yes, there was that mix-up with our order once, but who are we to complain when even the wrong dish was an unexpected delight? In fact, it turned out to be a happy accident that led us to discover a new favorite! And now, dear readers, we must quote the illustrious Jack Karlson: “A succulent Chinese meal!” Indeed, every meal at Chung Ying is the epitome of succulent, a glorious feast that leaves you utterly satisfied yet eagerly planning your next visit before you’ve even left your seat. In conclusion, if you haven’t yet experienced the sheer culinary bliss that is Chung Ying, then you, my friend, are missing out on one of life’s greatest pleasures. It’s a restaurant that transcends mere dining and elevates it to an art form. So, grab your friends, make your reservations, and prepare yourself for a meal that will be the stuff of legends.
