We had a fantastic meal at Little Bangkok Thai. The dining area offered a quiet, warm atmosphere that heightened our experience. Our server, who I believe was named Julie, was incredibly pleasant, friendly, and attentive. She managed the entire dining area with remarkable ease, in addition to handling takeout orders. She checked on us several times to ensure our water glasses were filled. Our food was fresh and hot. We started with the combo appetizer, and everything was perfectly roasted. The chicken satay was juicy and paired wonderfully with the cool, savory-sweet peanut sauce. The creamy crab filling was delicious as well. I can confidently say it was some of the best pad Thai I've ever had; the medium heat level was just right. The fresh bean sprouts on top were crispy and fresh. My dining companion had the fried rice, which was flavorful and included tender, juicy shrimp and vegetables. I truly can't believe how excellent our meal was. I can easily see myself making the 40-minute journey from home to enjoy it again. Thank you!
Thai food! This was our first experience, and while my friend and I enjoyed some of our dishes, there were a few aspects that left us disappointed. My friend ordered the pineapple curry, which she thought was just okay. She also tried the gluten-free Thai Chicken Pop as a side but remarked that the coating had little flavor. I opted for the Orange Chicken (paired with broccoli for an extra $1.50) and the Bangkok roll. Both dishes were well-prepared; however, the three tiny pieces of broccoli I received for that additional charge were a complete letdown. They were literally just a few bites. I hesitated to voice my complaint, but I did mention it during my review. So, be cautious about adding veggies—you might end up disappointed! Overall, we would consider returning, but we’ll skip the add-ons and the Thai Chicken Pops next time.
The best Thai food we found in the Grand Rapids area. Very tasteful. I love the fresh rolls and the peanut sauce! This is our goal for Thai food. Too bad they are not open on Sundays.
Prices keep going up, while portions get smaller if you want to add baby corn to your mix, it's a 2$ upcharge.. . a can of baby corn doesn't even cost that, and you get like 4-5. Not even worth some of the added veggies. We used to order 2x a week now it's rare. Their food is good, but not worth it to us much anymore. Better places.
