Golden Palace - Wycombe

We're in High Wycombe for a couple of nights and wanted a chines takeaway. After much searching we came across this one, The Golden Palace. The food was amazing, we had sweet and sour chicken balls, bbq spare ribs, salt and pepper chicken, egg fried rice and special fried rice. I can honestly say it's one if the best Chinese meals I've had. Everything was piping hot and the service was very good. Would definitely use them again if over this way.

I have been a frequent patron of this restaurant and have recommended it multiple times in the past. However, my recent order was disappointing, and what was even more disappointing was the response from the staff. I may not return to this restaurant based on this experience, and I cannot recommend it to others either. Service is just as important as the quality of the food, and in this case, both were lacking. I have always had good experiences at this restaurant in the past, but this recent visit undid all the positive experiences I have had before. I did give them the opportunity to make things right, but they chose not to, which has now changed my opinion of them. I will try a different restaurant next time and hope to find some good reviews on other local options.

We have ordered from this takeout restaurant in the past, but it had been a while since our last visit. We were pleased to find that the food was still excellent. Our order was delivered in a timely manner, with an estimated delivery time of one hour, but it arrived in just 40 minutes, which was fantastic.

Phoned and placed an order as reviews were looking good. The lady on the phone was friendly and polite. The young guy who delivered our order was again friendly and extremely polite. Once we received our order we were extremely disappointed. The smoked shredded chicken was burnt, the duck was dry and rubbery, the rice was dry and like plastic and the chicken in black bean sauce was of poor quality!!!! I phoned back and spoke to the same lady who was again, very friendly and helpful given that I was complaining about the food! They came and collected and gave me my money back! No issues! If the caliber of food is like it was for us tonight all the time then I do wonder how they are still in business. I can only hope that this was a one off! Shame because we wont be using them again!

I had the most wonderful lunch with my wife and daughter. Food, service and setting all perfect. (And it was not expensive!
