Wirtshaus Lammle - Würzburg

Wonderful German restaurant, might be a tad touristy but who cares when you have delicious food served by lovely people. We went on a Wednesday night and it was mobbed. Luckily the friendly waitress found us a table and we were really glad she did....Split the mashed Camembert to start, was pretty full but still managed to take down the house schnitzel (served with a slightly spicy red pepper sauce and another creamy mushroom concoction) and a lamb shank. Cheap and hearty.

We ate at the Wirtshaus-Laemmle restaurant in Wurzburg on the 19th of September. It was just a few min walk from the Hotel Strauss and we had the Jägerschnitzel and the Fleischküchle, which were very good and plenty to eat. The staff were very helpful,...and with their bit of english along with our bit of German, and we got what we wanted. All the meals were very flavorful, and for what we had, well priced. Nothing fancy, just good food and good people.

Dropping in for lunch the place was packed with locals however it didn't take long for the friendly waitstaff to find a share table. I had the local favourite (pork shoulder) while my wife had the roast pork. Both meals were fresh and tasty ........and filling.

You may need to be patient but your patience will be rewarded. Great, unpretentious, local food, well priced pleasant inside atmosphere Would definitely eat here again
