Poe's Tavern - Wrightsville Beach

Dinner. Great environment. Excellent service. Poe is a family lover and they really catch a Poe Vibe with their decor... up to the bathroom in the pages of Poe Stories wallpapers while playing a Poe book on the speaker. I would love it if they piped into the dining room in the audio book or had optional speakers at the table so that you could hear the stories while eating.

Great atmosphere, open air seats in the main area and outdoor tables with covered areas, beautiful large bar, wide variety of local brews in bottles and on tap. Top rated bar food, excellent burgers. Had Catawba White on **** and a Black Cat burger without buns and a tavern salad, excellent eats. The 1/2 burger had pimento cheese, drunk chili, fried onion curls with fixations. Not on foot from the beach but worth the short ride.

You took our big party with ease. Sunday approx. 1130. 25 persons. The staff was fast to us with drinks and take our app in food order as we were ready. They were so attentive, but not overlaid. There was a steady flow of other males and things seem very smooth for all employees. (Welchen is rare in other places nowadays). Her burgers were perfectly juicy and cooked in trial. so delicious. Nachos were super crispy and fresh. Chili con queso appetizer is perfect for exchange with large pieces of vegetables and meat. I don't think there was a single complaint. I recommend this facility!

Excellent service and a great burger! Fries could have been warmer, but we had a very good time and enjoyed the delicious Burger and Chili queso.
