Jasmine Garden - Worthing

Sadly the Chinese my parents in law usually go to aren’t open on a Monday, so they decided to try Jasmine Garden for a family celebration. What a shame. After having to wait well over an hour for the food, I can only say that it was the worst takeaway we’ve ever had. Nothing tasted right, and my Thai green chicken curry was barely recognisable, as the sauce was a grey\translucent colour and barely tasted of anything. The only positive was the delivery driver and how polite he was.

Food was delivered 1 hour 30 after ordering. We rung after an hour and were told to wait 10 more minutes and so we did. When it finally arrived the delivery driver was rude and when we asked for a discount due to the fact it was an hour and 30 late we were told no. The duck was dry and looked completely dehydrated and tasted fishy (probably due to being in a bag for ages or cooked in old oil , chips were dry and crispy and pretty much unedible. Only thing we ordered that was edible was the chow mien. Curry sauce was tasteless. Really poor service, think maybe because we were young the driver thought they could get away with not doing anything about it. Really disappointing because we’ve ordered from here a few times before and it’s been great. Called up after receiving the food and made a complaint, no discount/refund was offered even after it being requested. When complaints were made about the food they were really rude. If you like dry food, a waiting time of 1hr30 then this is the place for you :

Shocking. Wish I’d read the reviews on here. Tasteless bland food, literally no flavour. As said in other reviews, all the sauces are watery. Beef with black bean was watery and was really spicy? Ordered Szechuan chicken and it literally tasted of nothing, should be a spicy sweet and sour type sauce, which this was not. Watery oily nothing with rubbery frozen chicken. Kids had chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce separate it was a weird dark pot of oily water. Should be thick and red. It tasted of vinegar and lemon water!! See my pictures.. chips with curry sauce had a mere tablespoon of again watery sauce, see picture (lol). Completely horrifically poor watery nothing food with no flavour whatsoever, for top prices too. Really.. AVOID AS THEY CLEARLY CAN’T COOK. The WORST Chinese I’ve had ever, in my life yet. I’m 45.

Ordered a variety of dishes. Only decent dish was the chicken and sweetcorn soup. The sauces for the barbecue ribs, sweet and sour chicken and peppered beef were very watery and didn’t look or taste right. The Singapore noodles and chowmein were ok, not great, needed more flavour. First time we tried as our normal takeaway was closed. Sadly we won’t be ordering again.

Just awful. The noodles all flabby. Minimal chicken in chowmein. No flavours. Rice was ok. But everything else a disaster. We definitely won't be back.
