My mum and I have just enjoyed a really lovely birthday lunch at the Balcony Cafe, in the rather grand Worcester Museum and Art Gallery building. The meal we both chose (a grilled halloumi salad on an open wrap) was absolutely delicious and substantial in...size. Quality ingredients, well prepared, and delicately flavoured. The young women who served us was the perfect ‘front of house’: naturally friendly and cheerful with everyone. If this cafe was in the centre of town it would be deservedly packed. It is a hidden gem.
Each time I have eaten at the Balcony Café, I have been really pleased with the friendly service, the quality and freshness of the ingredients, and the choice of dishes offered. The sandwiches are made to order, imaginative, and well worth waiting a few minutes...while the friendly staff prepare them. The coffee is exceptionally good, and comes in proper cups, not the buckets that the chain coffee shops insist on using. I would recommend a visit.
Me and friend popped in late afternoon. the staff were all friendly and the pots of tea arrived quickly. My friend asked for soya milk, and they were able to find her some. The location is great, the seats are arranged around the stairwell of...the museum and art gallery on the first floor, and the windows are nice and big to give a nice open space. it's a great place to put a tea room! My friend had a slice of cake and it looked very nice, I was very tempted.
Cheerful prompt efficient service with really good food and coffee in a lovely space. Found by accident on the first floor of the museum and art gallery. Staff were great and the food tuna sandwich and Americano fresh and tasty On opening Tripadvisor to...write a review reported as closed, but looks flourishing to me
