Volturno Pizza Napoletana - Worcester

I got a to go order they told me twenty minutes I got there in ten. Pizza was cold and really small for the price. I said it’s fine if it taste good, but it didn’t. It taste like a dirty oven. (Literally) I always wanted to try this place but was very disappointed.

Spent 70$ on cold food. The chicken parm seemed to be frozen Tyson chicken with cheese on top.. and cold sauce…Spaghetti and meat balls were two bland cold meatballs…Nothing tasted fresh/homemade….Very disappointed

For pick up there are service fees (2 bucks PER PIZZA, whaaat?? if you want to do pick up orders. There is nothing special about the service, so I don 't know why it costs so much.My family member who ordered pizza asked not to overcook, but one of the pizzas was burnt a lot on the bottom. I understand that a little bit of burnt parts are normal for wood fire oven pizza, but we did not ask for well done , I 'm not sure how this happened.The other pizza (meatball pizza was not burnt at all. It looked paler but cooked enough to eat.. Talking about inconsistency..Pepperoni pizza visually looked okay but I can 't review much as I didn 't eat this pizza (I don 't like pepperoni .I think I will stick with the other gourmet pizza place even if I have to drive an extra 15 minutes. For dine in experience, this is not a bad place to go, but I wouldn 't just order pizza for pick up.

I would love to give this place a 5. This place is so close to a 5 star. But they HAVE to figure out a better seating system. You have to be there in person to put your name on the list, and they said it would 30 mins. After 30 mins, I was told the first girl was wrong, it 'll be another while before we sit. There 's 20 people hovered around the door, we keep getting in the way of servers, we keep blocking the door. There 's nowhere for 20 people to stand. They don 't take reservations, and you can 't even call ahead to put your name on the list, you have to be in the building . Why not take reservations? Or at least, why not let us call ahead, find out the wait length, and put our name on the list. If our name comes up, and we 're not there, then we lose our seats. It would take like 30 seconds of lost time by the host if the party wasn 't there, but it 's hours and hours of lost time sitting in your lobby by the guests because we have to be there. It 's hard to recover the experience of the meal and service when I told my personal dinner guests we had to stand in the way of other people for an hour before we sit down. This is the last 2 Mondays in a row. Please fix this, otherwise you 're a 5-star, best-in-Worcester experience.

Food: pizza was delicious. Definitely better than your average town pizza joint. Neopolitan style pizza so it's thin crust and it's done according to the official rules of how that style is made. Only reason it's 4 stars is that I've had better at a few places but it's still very good. 4/5Service: waitress was very attentive and friendly. I never felt ignored, and I believe the owner or manger came by to see how we were doing. 5/5!Atmosphere: clean and spacious with a fun vibe. You can see the imported wood ovens working, which is pretty cool to see while eating. 5/5Price: a little steep. Around $21 for individual pizzas, but they are high quality. Go on Mon/Tues nights for a REALLY good deal of buy 1 get 1 free, very worth it!!
